THE CAVEMAN IS BACK!

Updated: Oct 8, 2022

The Caveman Classic, Thailand's most fun golf weekend, will be back on 7th - 8th April 2023.

The Ministry of Golf, the organizer of the Caveman Classic, is delighted to announce the 40th running of this popular golf event at the Phoenix Gold Golf and Country Club and Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya, after the event has been on hold due to a COVID-induced hiatus. This much-loved golf weekend is THE event that gathers together golfers who take their fun seriously. Many of the participants are long-term residents of Thailand and visitors from overseas who mark their calendar for this particular event.

The event follows a standard 3-function format - the Friday night Warm-Up welcome party at the Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya, the Saturday Headliner golf event at Phoenix Gold Golf & Country Club and the Saturday night Encore awards bash back at the Hard Rock. "People come to The Caveman Classic to have fun with their friends, play games on the golf course, enjoy delicious food and soak in some good rock & roll music. It's an opportunity to have their best weekend with their best group of friends, and we have the honour to host it for them," said Les Walsh, Minister at The Ministry of Golf "Ensuring a great experience includes being aware that the combination of food, heat, and adult beverages can add up, so we work with one of our sponsors to provide a bus for golfers to commute between the hotel and the golf course. This ensures that everyone gets back safely and in time for the Encore awards party. There are lots of prizes - in 2019 a total of 84 prizes were handed out at an awards party that featured a photo booth, fantasic food, and a live rock band. In addition to great memories and new friendships, almost everybody had something to bring home from the event." In 2023 the maximum capacity for golfers is 144 slots. To accommodate golfers coming in from abroad for the event the organizers are working with Asia Golf Experiences to help everyone find their way back to this memorable event.

"Every year, we select a charity to support. We believe The Caveman Classic is about having fun, so why don't we share the right to have fun with those kids who need it. Net proceeds from the event will go to the Wisdom Playground Foundation, an organization that helps build playgrounds for kids in their communities", he added. Sponsorship at the Caveman offers businesses a great opportunity to engage directly with potential customers in a very cost-effective manner and there are many options for getting involved. The Ministry of Golf can help any sponsor create a unique way to present and promote themselves.
